Cortina d’Ampezzo is surrounded by the Dolomites, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. Cortina is a sporting destination known all over the world – the Winter Olympics were held here in 1956, The World Alpine Ski Championship will be held here in 2021 and together with Milan will host the 2026 Winter Olympics – it is the only Italian destination to be part of the Best of the Alps association.
Cortina is the ideal place to practice any winter or summer sport, a place of true Italian Dolce Vita with an ancient tradition of food, culture and hospitality.
For years, Cortina Marketing has been a point of reference in Cortina for the National Agency of Tourism, with which it participates in national and international events (e.g. fairs and workshops).
Best of the Alps
For years, Cortina Marketing has been a point of reference for the international association Best of the Alps.
For over 30 years, Best of the Alps has been bringing together the most authentic destinations of the Alps. These destinations are of historic importance in terms of mountain climbing, skiing and mountain tourism: Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Courmayeur, Crans-Montana, Davos Klosters, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Grindelwald, Kitzbühel, Lech Zürs am Arlberg, Megève, Seefeld, St. Anton am Arlberg and St. Moritz.
The Best of the Alps destinations share two unique features: the great value they attach to tradition and the pursuit of perfection. These elements are then combined with the beauty of their landscapes, made of pristine views and some of the most beautiful peaks of the world – including the Matterhorn, the Arlberg Mountains, the Dolomites, the Eiger, the Mönch, the Jungfrau and Mont Blanc.
Cortina Marketing continues its long partnership with Best of the Alps through fairs, workshops, local and international events.
For years, Cortina Marketing has been a member of Dolomiti Superski, the consortium of some resorts in the Dolomites in Veneto, Trentino and Alto Adige. It comprises 450 ski lifts in 12 ski resorts, 30 snow parks and 1,200km of tracks where you can spend amazing days skiing with a single ski pass.
The 12 resorts share communication strategies aimed at specific markets, both national and international. The offers are made for final users (B2C) and concern not only purchasing ski passes, but also other services that can be useful to a skier (ski schools, rentals, restaurants, refuges, hotels). Two shared promotions are the Dolomiti SuperPremiere and the Dolomiti SuperSun, which aim at increasing the number of visitors during off season, both on the Italian market and on other selected European markets.
Finally, thanks to the Dolomiti Supersummer project, the Dolomiti Superski promotional activities have been extended to the summer season too.
Audi Italia has signed an agreement with the Municipality of Cortina, thereby becoming a City Partner. The four-ringed brand considers Cortina a top location to carry out promotional activities for both itself and the d’Ampezzo area.
